On September 25 at 7.30pm Stephen Butt, a local historian, will give a talk and will display important and valuable historical texts on Leicestershire, including Kibworth. One first edition dates from 1622 and we will have a rare opportunity to hold and examine all these documents. Texts will be on loan from the library of the Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society and it will be a rare treat to be able to browse these here in our own library. Tickets in advance, £5 on sale at the Library.

Spot and Stop Fraud? join the free talk on Tuesday 10 October, 10am-1pm followed by one-to-one sessions. Learn the many tips to protect you and your loved ones against fraud. This event is free but please put your name down in advance in the library or by phone so as to ensure a seat.

Pick up an entry form for our ‘Design a Christmas Card’ children's competition in age groups 4-7 and 8-11. Deadline for entries is Saturday 14 October. Two local artists will judge the entries and the cards will go on sale in the library in November.
