Following on from our Lady Professional Kym Larratt and Trish Formoyís victory in Portugal recently (Above Par - National Golf Final Win), a further team of five ladies have secured a place in the semi-finals of the newly created national Annodata Tournament. The ladies have won five previous rounds against teams from around the UK to get this far. The semi-final and final is being held at the Barcelo Montecastillo Golf Resort, Cadiz, Spain at the end of November. As the trip is all expenses paid the ladies already feel like they have won.

Viva Espana!

The 2nd annual local derby against Market Harborough Golf Club took place last week. ĎThe Haverburg Trophyí was retained by the Kibworth Menís Section. This competition is played over two legs at home and away and is a much sought after trophy. It is played in good spirit and is a great social event at the club.

The Kibworth course has now taken on a completely different look with the colours of autumn painting a breathtakingly beautiful picture. As the main competition season draws to a close members are now taking on the challenge of winter golf. It is a whole new game when the ball isnít quite running so far and a different mindset is needed with regard to club and shot selection.

The club runs a winter league competition for both the men and the ladies to keep everyone playing through the winter months. In addition some fun competitions take place whilst others choose to use winter as an opportunity to have lessons, practice and hone their skills for next season.
