It was another successful year for the summer reading challenge. 120 children registered with 71 completing the challenge and a further 34 children making two visits which, if completed, would have been a record breaking number for Kibworth Library. As it was, 71 is the highest since 2013! Drop by and see pics of our amazing champion summer readers.

NaNoWriMo November is National Novel Writing Month. Challenge yourself to write a novel in a month with the support of Kibworth library. UEA creative writing graduate Daniel Delargy is offering weekly trouble-shooting and motivational support throughout November. Budding novelists, please contact the library to arrange.

The autumn continues with our regular and familiar groups - French Conversation, Knitting and Ancestry among them - and of course coffee and tea always on tap. In addition we have the following events coming up:

Steve’s Stories - 8 and 10 years old come and join us from 3.45-4.30pm on 8 November and 13 December for amusing stories narrated by author Steve Bowkett. The session will cost £1.50 to include refreshments.

Ghost Story Evening - A group of Leicestershire authors will be holding a ghost story evening on Thursday 16 November. Find out more on our website.

Book Sale - Drop by for a browse and leave with a bargain on Saturday 18 November 10am-1pm. If you would like to donate any books to the sale, please take them to the library.
