Spring has definitely sprung here in Smeeton Westerby. Our ‘Bridge 67’ held their wonderful ‘Farm Open Day’on Saturday 21 March. Over 1000 people visited to learn about all of the hard work that goes into rearing such fit and healthy cattle, sheep and pigs in order to put great quality food onto the table.

Residents on the Cuckoo Drive development recently received a letter outlining a proposed building plan for Manor Oaks Homes on Warwick Road, bordering the railway line, opposite Churchill Road / Kibworth Meadows. This would cover approximately 81 acres of green fertile land with a possible access from Wistow Road or Warwick Road. This would be a mixed scheme of approximately 550 dwellings and a space for a primary school.
