Our June meeting took a different format when we had a daytime outing to Foxton Locks. I suspect many people who live locally made visits to Foxton Locks several years ago and don’t realise how many changes have been made to the museum and how the newer pathways make it possible to appreciate the layout of the inclined plane/boat lift. We were fortunate to have a guided walk and talk from Paul, a trustee of the Foxton Inclined Plane Trust.

Kibworth Ladies Choir

On Saturday 22nd November we rocked the night away singing numbers including Sweet Child of Mine, Don't fear the Reaper, Start Me Up/Living on a Prayer, and We Will Rock You. That got the audience going! We also sang a beautiful rendition of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica – check out our socials to look at lots of video clips and photos of a wonderful concert. And keep an eye out too for the total of funds raised for our chosen charity, Rainbows Hospice.

60th Wedding Anniversary

Our dad and mum, Kibworth born Roger and Joyce Kempster, (formerly of Market Harborough), now long-term residents of Fleckney Road, Kibworth, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on the 20 March. We actually celebrated with family and friends a couple of weeks before that, at ‘The Railway’ pub in Kibworth.
