The Hunny Nurseries Graduation 2018

Summer for us is the time of year when emotions are conflicted. The children, parents and staff at the Hunny Bee Day Nursery celebrate the children's growth of knowledge and personalities in preparation for school, but hold back the tears as it is time to say "Goodbye and good luck!".

The Hunny Bee Day Nursery, Kibworth and The Hunny Jar Day Nursery, Fleckney joined forces to hold their annual pre-school graduation. The day was a celebration of the children's achievements whilst attending the Hunny Nurseries and the staff shared stories of the children's individual personalities.

Chloe Bott the Hunny Bee manager said, "It is lovely to celebrate with the children and their families as the children are more than ready to start the next stage of their educational journey, however it is a reality that their time at the nursery has come to an end. Fortunately we have developed wonderful relationships with our parents and their families so I am sure we will still get to celebrate the children's growth when they go to school".

Hunny Nurseries to move into old Health Centre

Some of you may already be aware that the old doctors' surgery on Smeeton Road Kibworth, has recently been sold. The Hunny Nurseries are happy to announce that they have bought the building to extend their provision within the village.

The Hunny Bee Day Nursery have had a waiting list for a considerable amount of time now and feel awful when they have been turning parents and their children away due to there being a lack of spaces. This new building will enable the nursery to provide childcare to more parents and children within Kibworth and the surrounding villages, and give consistency across the villages and support the local schools with transition.

The new, and additional, setting will be called The Hunny Hive Day Nursery Kibworth and Laura Whittall will become the Senior Manager for both settings to ensure continuity of care, learning and provision.

The new building will enable the Hunny Nurseries to extend their provision further by having a dedicated after school facility and holiday club. This should help them to be more accommodating in allowing parents to book in extra sessions, which is something they have been unable to do just recently.

If you have any questions please speak to Laura or Mel at the Hunny Bee Day Nursery on (0116) 279 6513.
