We did it! After being runners up last year, we received the award for 'Voluntary and Community Group of the Year' at the second annual Harborough District Council community awards, in a ceremony held at Lutterworth College on October 9th 2025.

A fortnight ago four of our juniors took part in the Robert Rock Junior tour grand final at Little Aston. Jack Farley, Tom Farley, Noah Williams and Evan Fowler all qualified for the final after strong performances throughout the season on the Robert Rock tour.

The KPA held our first meeting of the year recently. We have lots of exciting events planned for the rest of the school year. Our next event will be our Christmas Raffle which consists of wonderful prizes and hampers all generously donated by our community. It truly puzzles me that oil and gas company executives deny that their products are causing serious harm to our planet, spending huge amounts of money to confuse people. Don’t they care about their children and grandchildren’s future? Laughton Villagers and Friends Community Choir will be providing a festive evening of traditional and not so traditional Christmas carols at Lubenham Lodge courtesy of Maurice and Viv Thompson at 6pm on Wednesday 17 December.
