In the run up to Christmas, we have been very busy, both with charity fundraisers, club events, and county competitions.

The club recently participated in Leicestershire Young Farmers’ public speaking competition, which encourages Young Farmers to compete and develop their public speaking skills in a variety of situations. Teams from the club won in several competitions with individual members winning in the Junior and Senior public speaking!

The club has also been undertaking their annual Christmas tree collection, which is based at Grange Farm Christmas Barn in Thorpe Langton, by kind permission, and much appreciated support from Jim and Jane Mount.

Members of Norton and Gaulby have been manning a stand at Grange Farm Christmas Barn, offering their services to come and collect and recycle your Christmas trees for a £5 donation to charity. We will be collecting Christmas trees on 12 and 13 January. If you would like more information, or to have your tree recycled for charity, then please contact Ashling Toolan on 07817 466035.

From everyone at Norton and Gaulby Young Farmers Club, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
