The children had a brilliant time at the school’s annual Christmas Decorations Day - much fun was had by all, although the amount of glitter left behind may have been a shock to the cleaners! Christmas jumper day was held in school on 14 December where staff and pupils alike wore a fantastic array of festive clothing and Christmas jumpers in order to raise money for Save the Children.
We have been getting festive at Kibworth CE Primary School! On Saturday 1 December, we held our Christmas Fayre. We would like to thank our lovely KPA (Kibworth Parents’ Association) for their work in arranging this and everyone who helped to make this such a brilliant day.
Y2 children were supported by our friends from the church with their Christingle making.
Our super choir have been busy performing and have visited Stuart Court to spread some festive cheer. They sang a range of carols and Christmas songs beautifully for the residents. The choir will also be visiting the Grammar School Hall to sing again for the Kibworth U3A District group. On Wednesday 12 December, Year 4 had a fantastic morning at St Wilfrid’s church where they learned more about the true story behind Christmas. They would like to thank all the people at St Wilfrid’s for making this such a special day.
We have had two wonderful school plays– our Key Stage 1 play, ‘The Inspectors’ was performed by Year 2 children with Year 1 children as the choir whilst ‘The Wriggly Nativity’ was performed by the Foundation Stage children. There are many budding actors in the making!
We are now looking forward to our last week of term with a carol concert, Christmas lunch, Christmas parties and also the much loved staff pantomime for the children before we all break up for a well deserved rest! The children have worked extremely hard this term, been engaged with so many great topics and learning opportunities and we wish all of our pupils, their parents and carers, a very happy Christmas!
