On Thursday 23rd April, the Y8/9 girls football team travelled to Leicester City's world class training ground for the County final. We faced familiar opponents in Uppingham Community College, having previously played them in the National Cup and County Cup final in Year 7. We knew we were in for a battle. The pitch was immaculate, the sun was shining, and with a terrific travelling support of KMA parents, the scene was set was for an unforgettable evening of football.

The Easter Bank Holiday was busy; sixteen boats selling a wide range of items comprised the Floating Market beyond the top bridge and the counters recorded 12,000 people visiting them over the weekend. May Day was not so good as the cold north wind refused to go away.

The recently formed local Leicestershire Right to Roam (R2R) is based primarily in and around Market Harborough. The club has been busy recently campaigning for greater access for those wishing to walk or swim in and with nature.

John Carter passed away at the beginning of March, two days shy of his 90th birthday. He lived in Foxton for around 60 years, setting up Foxton Crafts and then Carter Design Group.

Trustees have had a busy few months looking after the Foxton village hall. We were fortunate to receive a Ward Improvement Grant, which enabled us to buy ten new smaller tables for the hall and a much-needed new noticeboard for the outside of the building.
