The Protégé Returns

It’s all change at Kibworth Golf Club as Head Green-keeper, Chris Butlin retired in March after being employed by the club for 30 years. Chris is highly respected throughout the Midlands and County and his knowledge and advice have been regularly sought by his peers. Over the years he has overseen steady and definite improvements to the course; this has been achieved despite changing weather patterns and increased pressure by restrictive legislation.

A presentation took place to thank Chris for his loyalty and commitment to the club and then County Captain, Martin Anderson was introduced to the members as the new Course Manager. Martin is a protégé of Chris and rejoins the team after a spell away, with renewed energy and vigour. We look forward to working with Martin and wish him well in his new position.

Socially, we have our Spring quiz taking place on Friday 10 May 7.30pm, teams of four, £10 per team (food will be available but must be booked in advance). For further details please ring the office on (0116) 279 2301 regarding social functions or information on new memberships.
