Welland Valley Sportive

The Welland Valley Sportive promises an amazing day on the quiet roads of south Leicestershire and Rutland. With all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support we are looking to beat the £13,000 raised by over 300 riders last year.

This year we’ve got two challenging road routes of 100km and 60km along with two off-road rides of 60km and 30km. There is also a great 17km off road family ride on local roads and tracks. The date is Saturday 25 May. Race HQ is Langton Brewery, Thorpe Langton, where a free beer (or soft drink) awaits all finishers. In addition, there is free car parking, sign-on refreshments (including those essential bacon rolls) and a post-ride live band to entertain as you rest up in the sunshine.

All routes are fully signed, with a free food station, electronic timing and a 'broom wagon' to assist with mechanical problems or for anyone unable to complete the ride. Entry for adults is £25 in advance (£5 for children), which includes a goody bag for all.  Visit macmillanharborough.org.uk, where you'll also find all the GPS route maps.

If you get some mates to join you on the ride (and they mention your name when signing up) you'll go into a free draw for a bottle of Two Birds gin.
Please contact mark.chapman@new-tracks.com if you have any queries.
