On Thursday 12 February 2026, the planning committee of Harborough District Council unanimously refused the application (25/00793/OUT) to build an estate of 28 houses in the field just to the south of Kibworth Medical Centre.

Kibworth Mill will once again be opening for National Mills Weekend giving members of the public an opportunity to visit the oldest mill in Leicestershire on Saturday 9 May and Sunday 10 May. Volunteers will show people around inside and outside the mill, giving visitors the chance to see the inner workings and marks left by the millers over the last 400 years.
