Junior Golfers on Tour
We have a thriving junior section here at KGC with two boys doing exceptionally well in recent tournaments.
Evan Fowler, aged 8, played in the British Junior Golf World Championship qualifier at Cambridge Country Club last month. He shot a 4 over par 79 securing him 2nd place and earning him a place at the world championships at Torrey Pines in California in July.
Jack Farley, aged 14, played in the under 18s at the Junior British Masters at The Belfry and scored the 2nd best gross. Jack also plays for the under 16 County side for Leicestershire and has represented the under 18s too.
Both boys are part of Club Professional, Mike Bents’, Junior Academy Programme which they have been attending since the age of 4. This runs every Saturday morning and is full of ambitious children; clearly Mike is doing a great job!
