Kibworth Theatre Co / Main Street Theatre Co – February 2023
Rehearsals are continuing apace for both of our productions, below is an update.
A Bunch of Amateurs
All the hard work undertaken before Christmas on characterisation is paying off and now that we have finally made it onto the stage, the production is coming together nicely. Books will be down by the middle of February, moves are being finalised and all the details that make for a successful show are being finessed. Our director, Alison Langrick’s call for help in last month’s Chronicle did not go unheeded and we now have a production assistant. All the cast are enjoying rehearsals and they are being completed amid much hilarity.
A Bunch of Amateurs takes to the stage on Thursday/Friday 30/31 March and Saturday 1 April, tickets will be available from Kibworth Post Office and also via ticketsource.co.uk/Kibworth-theatre-company.
Dying for a Leek – our Murder Mystery Supper nights
Rehearsals for these hilarious evenings are well under way. Scripts are down and producer Kevin Gilbert is drawing out as many funnies and nuances as he can to give the audiences a really enjoyable evening. We are delighted to say that both performances in Smeeton Westerby have completely sold out, but if you have missed your chance to buy a ticket for Friday 3 March and Saturday 4 March, we are performing in Tur Langton Village Hall on Friday 10 March and Church Langton Village Hall on Saturday 11 March, both evenings starting at 7.30pm. “It’s a show not to miss,” says Kevin. “The cast find themselves in stitches at each rehearsal, so we are sure our audiences are going to have a really fun and unforgettable evening.”
N.B. Please remember, for Smeeton Westerby only, you need to bring your own drinks and glasses. The other two venues have a licensed bar. Also, parking in Smeeton is very limited so if you are driving, you will need to park down one of the side turnings or further down the village.
