TRUSTEE BOARD TREASURER – VASL (Voluntary Action South Leicestershire) Market Harborough
VASL is a local charity based at Torch House, Market Harborough. We provide a range of excellent services to the communities of Harborough District and support for family carers across Leicestershire.
Supporting the community
Our services aim to reduce loneliness and isolation, improve health and well-being and provide transport for the less mobile.
Are you a potential Trustee?
Volunteers are key to the way we deliver our services. One key volunteering role is that of Trustee. Our Trustees have responsibility for the longer term development and planning of the organisation, financial planning and oversight, and ensuring our services continue to be developed and delivered to a high standard.
Our Board of Trustees meets every two months. and it is made up of people with a range of experience and skills.
Our Treasurer of 12 years is now standing down and we are looking to recruit a new Trustee who is willing to take on this role.
Can you support this charity?
VASL is a medium sized charity, with an average turnover of £500k per annum. Whilst not essential, it would be helpful if applicants have financial experience, and experience of charity finance and fundraising. The charity employs a bookkeeper to manage the charity’s accounts.
The successful applicant would be supported in the role by our Charity Manager and the Board’s Finance subcommittee.
