Kibworth Mead Academy Sept 23
All systems go!
Over the summer holidays it’s been all systems go at KMA! Thanks to a huge capital investment from The Mead Educational Trust, a massive amount of building work has been successfully completed over the summer.
The refurbishment included two state of the art science laboratories and prep-room, corridors and the building of two large toilet blocks.
Large Scale Murals adorn the walls
In addition to this we have had a number of large scale murals installed in PE, Maths and English.
The English mural is an eye-catching timeline of our important texts, from The Epic of Gilgamesh, to contemporary novels like Half of a Yellow Sun.
We have also taken the opportunity to ensure our values are emblazoned at key positions around school, as a visual reminder of what the KMA community stands for.
Meeting High Expectations
Students have been really appreciative of the summer transformation and to see our wonderful learning environment come to life. They have made a fantastic start back, and are meeting our high expectations, both academically and in terms of their conduct around school.
They have already collectively achieved over 10,000 rewards points for demonstrating our values of work hard, be kind, be proud, which bodes really well for the school year.
Well done Year 7
We are particularly proud of our new Year 7 students, who have settled in to secondary school remarkably quickly, and have already impressed us with their work ethic and commitment to their learning.
Come Visit – Our Year 6 Open Evening
We are hosting our Year 6 Open evening on Thursday 21 September from 5:30-7:30 and look forward to welcoming families in our wider community to visit and see what KMA has to offer.
