Smeeton Westerby What’s On!
By the time this issue goes to print, we will have enjoyed our Harvest Quiz night. With a tasty supper, followed by delicious homemade desserts and then a fun quiz, this will surely have been the recipe for a great night out.
Thank you to Monica and Chris Gibbins for setting the quiz and being our quiz masters and also to the village hall committee who tirelessly work hard to organise events for our village.
Coming Soon
On Saturday 18 November, between 2 and 4.30pm, we will be holding our annual Christmas Fayre in the village hall. This year, as well as our favourite activities, we are pleased to welcome some new stall holders to tempt you with ideas for Christmas gifts.
We are also delighted to say that Father Christmas will be taking a few hours out of his busy schedule to visit our special grotto, where he can talk with the children and offer them an early Christmas present. Added to this of course, there will be refreshments of tea, coffee and cake, mulled wine, mince pies and much more.
So please do join us.
Soft Toy Tombola
N.B. If anyone has any clean, new or nearly new soft toys that they could donate for our Soft Toy Tombola, we would be most grateful. Please ring Janet on 07950 409 610 to arrange collection. Thank you.
Christmas Concert
On the evening of Friday 8 December, the Oddfellows Brass Band will be holding their Christmas Concert in Christchurch.
Last year’s concert was such a great success, so why not come along and enjoy a whole variety of Christmas music to get yourselves into the festive spirit. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served to help the evening go with a swing!
Tickets will be available soon.
