Kibworth Business Forum
Pumpkin Trail & Colouring Competition
A group of local businesses have come together to form a new group called the Kibworth Business Forum.
It is made up of owners and managers of businesses that have a ‘shop front.’ As such, it focuses on the area around the High Street, in particular, but extends to Fleckney Road, The Square, Weir Road, the A6 and Station Street.
Shop Local
The aim is to work together to improve the experience of people who use our lovely shops, cafes and other small businesses, encourage everyone to ‘shop local’ and work with others to make the physical environment safe, pleasant and attractive.
There have only been a couple of meetings so far, but already lots of exciting ideas have been shared. If any other businesses are interested in getting onboard, get in touch with Debbie @ Kibworth Books, Emma @ Edmonds & Slatter or Andy @ The Well. For now, it’s a case of ‘watch this space.’
In the meantime, for the October half-term the forum has put together a pumpkin trail for kids to get involved in! All you have to do is spot the special pumpkins in the windows of participating businesses and collect the letters to make a seasonal word. You could win a voucher for the Windmill Farm Park!
Colour in the Pumpkin!
There is also a pumpkin on the entry form to colour in if you would also like to enter the colouring competition, with the chance to win a Jellycat Plush Pumpkin.
Look out for the pumpkins in the windows of Kibworth D.I.Y, Remington’s Coffee Shop, Julian’s Hair Studio, Bridge 67 Butchers, The Beauty Room, The Well, Edmonds & Slatter Opticians, Kibworth Books, Lloyd Harden Design, S Dental, LOROS and Francesca.
Entry forms are available from The Well, Kibworth Books, Edmonds & Slatter Opticians and Kibworth Library – just pop in during opening hours and ask for as many forms as you need.
Once the mystery word has been worked out and/or the pumpkin creatively coloured in, simply drop your completed entry form back to where you picked it up from, or any of the others mentioned above.
Good luck!
