What is in the Bible – Is this what it means?
- Aircraft – Who are these that fly along the clouds like doves to their nests? (Isaiah 60 v8)
- Animal Rights – A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel (Proverbs 12 v10)
- Cars – The Chariots storm through the streets, rushing back and forth through the squares. They look like flaming torches; they dart about like lightening (Nahum 2 v4)
- Cataracts – The man hurried over to Eli who was 98 years old and whose eyes were set so that he could not see (1 Samuel 4 v21)
- Student Grants – The King assigned them a daily amount of food and wine from the Kings Table. They were to be trained for 3 years and after that they were to enter the king’s service (Daniel 1 v5)
- Politicians – The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left (Ecclesiastes 10 v2)
The Talking Dog
The visiting preacher arrived at the church and was amazed to see a large dog pushing the chairs into their rows ready for the service. He stared at the animal, who looked up and said “Don’t be surprised, this is part of my job.”
“Incredible,” said the preacher “Does your minister know what an amazing animal he has – a dog that can talk!”
“Don’t tell him.” said the dog “If he finds out I can talk, he’ll have me preaching the sermons as well.”
