Smeeton Westerby Parish Council – Clerk Vacancy

Smeeton Westerby Parish Council is seeking to recruit a Clerk, starting in January.

With a small population, the council meets in the local village hall five times a year. The Clerk will be the Proper and Responsible Financial Officer, managing all associated duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative tasks and manage council communications.
  • Maintain financial records and oversee budgeting and accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and assist in meeting preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Strong administrative and IT skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Previous Parish Council experience is preferred.

Salary:
LC1, SCP 5-6, £12.21-£12.42 per hour
