Kibworth Community Library – November 2024
“One can never have enough socks. Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn’t get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books.” Albus Dumbledore – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone – JK Rowling
Is it too soon to start talking about Christmas? There’s certainly plenty of talk about what’s happening in the village and when. We are delighted to be able to be part of the events happening on Saturday 7 December.
From 10am till 1pm we will have two fabulous win-every-time tombolas – one for adults and the other for children. We will also be holding a raffle for Christmas hampers – last year’s chocolate one was a huge success! We will have special, author signed books on sale, plus hot drinks and cakes. So please pop in to see us for a bit of festive fun.
We were very disappointed to have had to cancel John Beatty’s talk this month but we are very hopeful that we will be able to rearrange it for Spring next year. We will keep you updated.
Susie Pasley-Tyler’s talk about Coton Manor Gardens is completely sold out so please don’t just turn up on the day. We would hate to have to turn you away!
Our last Lego Club of the year will be on Sunday 8 December. But we will be back in the New Year for plenty more family fun.
December’s Book Sale is on Saturday 14 from 10am till 12pm and will be full of great fiction plus Christmas books, food and drink; (very useful at this time of year); and humour.
Plenty of books and definitely no socks on sale!
Keep up to date with all that’s happening in the library via our website www.kibworthcommunitylibrary.org.uk or on Facebook.
