Kibworth Ladies Choir Concert
On Saturday 30 November the wonderful Kibworth Ladies Choir did two excellent performances at the Kibworth Community Hub. They very kindly chose The Well to receive the proceeds, for which we are deeply thankful.
It was a true ‘community’ event. The best way to kick-off the festive season with a selection of beautifully sung carols and amusing and touching readings.
Food Bank Support
We’ve seen a marked increase in the number of households approaching us for support in the run-up to Christmas. Many households are being challenged by paying for Christmas along with increased expense of heating during the colder weather. Some of our clients won’t be able to afford toys for their children or festive treats. The things that make this time of year extra special. We will be working with Kibworth Books and Toys on the Table to get presents for those that otherwise would go without. We’ll also be working hard to ensure that everyone receives food to cover the holiday period. If you want to help with the additional costs we face at this time of year, you can make a donation in our café or shop or via our website.
Christmas Day Get Together
The Well will again be opening its doors on Christmas morning between 10 and 12am for anyone who would like to enjoy FREE bacon baps, mince pies and hot drinks with us in a relaxed and friendly space. You might be alone on Christmas Day or just want some respite from the pressures of the day for a short while. You can pop in for five minutes or stay with us for the whole two hours – the choice is yours. If you’re having a morning walk along the High Street then please do pop in and say hello. EVERYONE is welcome.
