Local history – your help is needed – Part 2

Last month a series of local history talks began in Kibworth Community Library. The talk by Graham Wat, one of the volunteers at Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill was very well-received.

Also last month we put out a request for photographs and other memorabilia to be sent in/handed in at the Library which could be used in a History Exhibition planned for the now nearly completed library space at Kibworth Community Hub.

As you may know the library space, which has been built adjacent to the Kibworth Grammar School Hall /Kibworth Community Hub, will be vacant until the library are able to move in. This space is where the proposed exhibition is to be held; however, we still need your help.  Do you have any pictures of Kibworth and its surrounding villages or the people of Kibworth that you think should be included? If so, please let us have them and we can have them framed and readied for this exciting exhibition. You can use the Kibworth Chronicle box, which is at Kibworth Post Office. Please write your name and contact address/ mobile number on the back of the picture. The exact dates of the exhibition will be dependent on the building work being finally completed and the keys being handed over.
