Kibworth Community Hub

In March we had our AGM which was well attended. Martyn Wyburn reported on the current state of the Community Hub. The completion of the new library extension being the highlight of the year. There were no new candidates to join the Trustees. Martyn was re-elected as chair, with Lynn Williams voted in as vice-chair, Mandi Bland as treasurer. Andrew Dawes and Janet Dowling were also re-elected as trustees. Unfortunately, one position that has not been filled is that of secretary. If anyone would like to put themselves forward, we would be pleased to look at co-opting you. The duties are not particularly onerous. If anyone would like to discuss this with me, I can be contacted on Tel:07914254965.
There was some robust questioning from the floor about the plans for the second phase of the development. The trustees are committed to keeping our regular users updated as to what is happening and, to consult with people as to the best way forwards.
Otherwise, we continue to run as normal. Although we are busy, we do still have some gaps. So if you want to run a group or a class, please don’t hesitate to contact Kelly our Hub Manager to discuss your requirements. She can be contacted on Tel:01162796389.
Visitors to the Hub over the past few days, will have noted that we now have a TV screen up in the lobby which informs visitors as to what is going on each day. Hopefully, by the time you read the next article, we will have all our new signage in place too.
Wrestling event
On 26 April, we will be hosting FTGU Wrestling in the Hub, complete with licensed bar. It is only a few months since they were last here, and we are pleased to welcome them back once again.
