Kibworth Community Library – VE Day Display

Kibworth Library will mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day with an exhibition of artefacts kindly loaned by local residents. The display will be open to view during normal library opening hours from late morning on Tuesday 6 May until mid-afternoon on Friday 9. We would value offers to lend us anything that is local and is WW2-related. It could be:
- something that applies to Kibworth evacuees or land girls for instance
- something that applies to Kibworth men or women serving in the forces
- connected with something or someone that has never left Kibworth or one of the surrounding villages
The first step, if you have something you would like to offer for display, is to write the details on a form, which can be found on the counter in the library, and Val Moore will ring you. We recognise how precious and sentimental those old things have become with the passing of time, and have put systems in place to ensure their safe-keeping whilst they are in our care. It would be lovely to share them as part of our local 80th anniversary celebrations. Please do get in touch.
