World Day of Prayer: Service
The annual World Day of Prayer Service, Thursday 21 October, 10.30 – 11.30am, Kibworth Methodist Church, School Road.
All Welcome!
The annual World Day of Prayer Service is usually held on the first Friday in March. Because of Covid restrictions it was decided to postpone it until we could meet together again in person. The service this year has been produced by the women of Vanuatu. Vanuatu is a group of some 80 islands in the Pacific Ocean over 1,000 miles east of Australia. Before independence in 1980 the islands were known as the New Hebrides.
The theme is ‘Building on a Strong Foundation’, something the people of Vanuatu understand very well having had their houses destroyed and beautiful islands devastated by two powerful cyclones in recent years. Come and learn something of the issues facing these brave and resilient women as we support them by taking part in the service they have written.
