Mini Players selected for County Training Squad
During the last 18 months Rory Stimpson and Austin Cheney have been attending a Leicestershire 9&U Development Squad which takes place at Knighton Tennis Centre.
This squad is for Mini Tennis players from Leicestershire who are just below County standard but have the potential. Both Austin and Rory excelled in the squad and were recently moved up to the Leicestershire 9&U County Squad. The training sessions take place at the impressive indoor tennis facilities at Loughborough University.
Well done to Rory and Austin for achieving this!
Summer Holiday Tennis Fun For Kids!
There are a lot of tennis sessions for kids of all standards aged from 3 to 18 taking place at Kibworth Tennis Club during the Summer Holidays! There will be sessions for pre school children, beginners from the ages of 5 to 14 and team events for children aged from 6 to 18 who can play matches.
The club team event has been running since the beginning of 2019 with two teams battling it out. Currently the Racket Ralph Team is leading the Royal Aces Team by 492 points to 484 points. More information about the Summer Holiday sessions is on the club website www.kibworthtennis.co.uk.
