The 2019/2020 Mini/Junior Team Tennis Event Winners
The Mini/Junior Team Tennis Events started in October 2019 and finished at the end of August.
The Events took place on a Saturday afternoon before lockdown and then during the week from June onwards.
Over 100 chIldren between the ages of 6 to 16 played in these events playing for one of the two teams called Mati’s Team and Joe’s Team.
After 178 matches the winning team was Mati’s team winning 1057 – 1049. A big thanks to one of the coaching team, Helen Johnson, who organised and ran the Events throughout the year.
Thanks also to all of the helpers who worked alongside Helen at the Events.
Tennis is Back!
Tennis was one of the first sports permitted to restart after lockdown.
We were allowed to carry out individual sessions from the middle of May and then restart some small group sessions for both children and adults from the beginning of June and through the Summer Holidays.
The term time weekly coaching courses for children from 3 to 18 and adults started again at the end of August.
All of the Adult club sessions are running again.
Let’s hope we all can continue playing during these challenging times!
