Alan ‘Chip’ Butcher 1949-2020.

We are very sad to report that Alan Butcher, known as Chip, passed away on the 7th of November. He was a postman for ten years and then landlord of the Railway Arms and the Kings Head in Smeeton Westerby.

After he retired from his last pub at Stoney Stanton he became a taxi driver for several years for M&E taxis of Kibworth, where he met lots of local people and made many friends.

Jane and I would like to give thanks for the lovely messages we have received. He will be greatly missed by his family.
