County Matchplay Champion
Kibworth Golf Course Head green-keeper Martin Anderson is not only a Champion Green-keeper but he is the County Matchplay Champion too!
The Championship, knockout was played at Market Harborough Golf Club over two days. It was played by some of the top golfers in the County. After playing 72 holes Martin was declared the winner of the ‘Wykes Bowl’ winning 2/1 in the final.
His golfing ability is as exemplary as his green-keeping skills. Martin and his team have made many changes to the course recently. This was not easy with the excessive rain that has fallen in the last six weeks. On the upside, lockdown two enables them to work without interruption from the pesky golfers! We look forward to an imminent return, fresh air, exercise and nature at its best, perfect!
