Friends of St. Wilfrids – April 2021
Many of you, as you drive past the church, will notice that the clocks have stopped on the church tower.
The Friends of St Wilfrid’s Church in Kibworth, a charitable organisation, headed up by six trustees, has its main aim of preserving and restoring the church. Wouldn’t it be awful if the church wasn’t maintained? The Friends are currently looking to repair the clocks and the leaks in the roof.
This building benefits the whole community not just for its architectural and symbolic value but also for worship, christenings, weddings and funerals.
Annually the Friends raise some of the money needed through an Annual Concert which this year will take place on Friday 26 November at 7.30pm where we welcome Salvo Brass and Guests. Watch out for the details around the village.
But we also need you to consider giving the Friends a regular monthly donation. £5, £10, £15 which would really boost funds.
If you are able to do this and would like to know how to go about donating on a more regular basis do get in touch on 075407129298 and a leaflet can be popped through your door giving details.
Thank you.
Regards The Friends.
