Macmillan Coffee Morning
Local Fund Raising by Pauline Dawes
Every year I hold a coffee morning at our house to raise funds for Macmillan. We even managed to hold one last year, keeping to all the Covid rules and regulations. In fact, we made a record profit for the charity. So, the details were as follows:
I held a coffee morning this year at our home Glenbrook, Saddington Road, Mowsley, LE17 6NY on Saturday, 18 September from 10.30am. There was a cake stall, bring and buy, a tombola and plants/flowers/bulbs from
Kibworth Garden Centre. Entrance was £1 to include plenty of real coffee and yummy biscuits (children free). Everyone was welcome bringing family and friends and, especially, new people to the village.
This was publicised for Pauline in our September issue, we hope there was a hefty profit.
