Projects to boost ‘place and wellbeing’ in our area

On 26 January Harborough District Council agreed to allocate funding from its Community Fund this year for projects. These will improve spaces and places as well as supporting young people aged 11+ with diversionary activities, anxiety, self-image and childhood inactivity.

Projects which have successfully applied for funding include:

• The Well, Kibworth – £1,645 for office furniture, security and IT equipment
• Burton Overy Parish Council – £1,125 for timber sleeper verge-side planters close to village entrance signs
• Glooston Village Hall – £2,306 for a village hall update project with paved area at the back, a shed and better lighting
