‘9.30 Express’ Celebrates Nine Fun Years!
On 6 February St Wilfrid’s fun family service turned nine years old celebrating with a wonderful Candlemas service commemorating the presentation of Jesus at the Temple.
‘9.30 Express’ takes place on the first Sunday of each month and is aimed at children up to about age ten with parents/grandparents. The service starts at (would you believe!) 9.30a.m.! It’s a half-hour service including songs, puppets, Bible story, prayer, graphics, fun, laughter and love. And it really does not matter if your children dance in the aisle or a baby cries, absolutely everyone is welcome!
After the service we go into the Church Hall for bacon or sausage baps and croissants, as well as playtime and craft.
One Mum says ‘We all love attending the 9.30 Express. The services are so welcoming, child-friendly and interactive. They always keep the little ones engaged.’
Her son added ‘I love 9.30 Express; singing with musical instruments is my favourite.’
Our next service is on Sunday 6 March; why not give it a try? Come and join us!
