Kibworth Fire Station – Recruiting New Fire Fighters
It’s been a couple of months since the Fire Station submitted an article to the Kibworth & District Chronicle. We’ve had a busy few months.
We have attended several road traffic collisions, domestic fires, car fires and numerous emergency special service calls with other agencies.
However, the BIG NEWS is that Kibworth Fire Station will soon be recruiting new On-Call Firefighters.
Recruitment Opens on 27th April 2022.
Please see Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service On-Call Fire Fighter Recruitment website for further information.
Keep a look out on our website & social media channels for the latest updates.
The Role of On-Call Fire Fighters
The role of an On-call Fire Fighter is a very rewarding and exciting one. It is a great opportunity to work within the local community, make a difference and give something back. Most of our Fire fighters all have full time jobs and provide fire cover from home. There is also opportunity to respond from work if working locally.
The crew are all really friendly and enthusiastic and are looking forward to welcoming new people to our team. We often socialise outside of work.
You must be over 18 years old and be able to respond to Kibworth Fire Station within 5 minutes.
Successful applicants will receive operational training for the role of Fire Fighter. In addition, there are qualifications in areas such as first aid/trauma care, LGV driving etc.
Joining Our Team
If you are interested in joining our team – or know someone that might be interested – please email Watch Manager James Dawes at james.dawes@leics-fire.gov.uk
We’d really like to meet and stay in touch with a group of interested people. So we can support them through the application stages and integrate them into the team.
