A Busy Summer at the Club!
Summer Holiday Fun for children from three to seventeen.
During the summer holidays tennis sessions took place at the club for children aged from three to seventeen. It was a great opportunity for some children to try tennis for the first time and for other children to continue playing during the summer holidays. Over 150 children attended the sessions so it was a busy time for Mati and his coaching team!
Adult and Mini/Junior Summer Teams Playing in the County Leagues
Between end of April through to end of August there were twelve adult teams and five Mini/Junior teams playing matches in the Leics County Summer Leagues. The following teams had a very successful season; 3rd mixed team (1st), 1st mixed team (2nd), 1st Men’s Vets (2nd), 9&U team (2nd), 10&U team (2nd), 14&U team (2nd) and 16&U team (2nd)
2 Courts Resurfaced
During the ummer holidays two of the courts at the club were resurfaced with tarmacadam and painted providing a great new playing surface which should last at least twelve years. This hopefully is the last of the big projects for a while! Other projects over the last six years have included a new court, resurfacing of two other courts and a new clubhouse.
Get Your Pre-School Child Learning How to Play Tots Tennis
Tot Tennis is a fun way of introducing pre-school children, aged three and over, to tennis using soft balls and small rackets. It also helps to develop their movement and hand -eye coordination skills which is good for other sports too. We are planning to run a fun filled course on a Friday afternoon from 2pm to 2.45pm starting soon. For more information please contact Paul on 07753 862436
