News from Smeeton Westerby
With the festive season fast approaching, we are delighted to share with you the first of our Christmas events here in Smeeton Westerby.
On Saturday 26th November, 2.00pm – 4.30pm, we are holding our annual Christmas Fayre in the village hall. This is always very popular and as usual, there will be stalls, activities and refreshments. These include mulled wine and mince pies. Father Christmas will once again be in his grotto, having kindly taken time out from his busy schedule to join us.
Brass Band Christmas Concert
This year the wonderful Oddfellows Brass Band will be entertaining us with a Christmas Concert on Friday 9th December in the church. We will be serving refreshments in the interval and tickets cost £10 each. Please ring Philippa on 01162793841 to reserve a ticket. This should be a most enjoyable night and get us all in the Christmas spirit! The church will be warm but you might need to bring a cushion!
