VERSE ONE
A sea-so-nal rejoicing now the traffic islands clear;
If seeds of natural flow–ers are encouraged to appear
`twill add some extra colour and good cause to raise a cheer
That our taxes are bringing brighter “sites” nearer to here;

There is a further benefit – the

Without the bushes in the way the number plates will show;
When speeding New Road. High Street up Church Hill in gears not low
So our tax could mean speeding vehicles with fines to owe.

The cameras now can doubtless see who parks on yellow lines;
No question – there’s the proof – just give illegal parking fines..
Ignore the “only nipping chippie!! – back in seconds` time”

The cameras now have sight of vehicles parked where people go.
They`ll have the visual evidence which clearly will now show –
The reason for the curb stones some apparently don`t know !!

How-e-ver, maybe I am being much too starry eyed –
The ca–meras for security? ? – You laughed or maybe cried;
How many village prosecutions ? Let`s hope our best guide
