The writings on the floor
Walking over the Grammar School Bridge there is graffiti sprayed onto the floor. What does it mean? Is it part of the electrification of the Midland Main Line? This is coming along in leaps and bounds judging by the number of stanchions one can see from the A6 as you travel towards Market Harborough.
Kibworth Harcourt Windmill Open Day – save the date!
It is proposed that the windmill be open to visitors this spring. A date has been fixed for Sunday 14 May. However, more work needs to be undertaken to ensure all goes well. More details will appear in this publication nearer the time.
Business created in middle of residential area
An application (22/2085/FUL) has been submitted for the newly built detached garage (Residential use Class C3.) This is to the rear of 24A2 New Road. They application is to house a small scale office based business, which would be Class E. Possibly a curious change of use? Previously it was plot 44 and 45 of 15/00787/FUL.
A new substantial bench in Smeeton Westerby
QUEEN ELIZABETH II – PLATINUM JUBILEE 1952 – 2022
One can imagine a mad scramble to sit on this bench near the allotments. The annual open air band concert usually occurs on the first Sunday of July.
