Kibworth Art Lovers – Apr ’23
Our March meeting was led by professional artist Maxine Dodd who lives and works in Church Langton. She is known primarily for her award-winning images of cyclists, in ink and watercolour. She also has experience of using a wide variety of media.
She was therefore the perfect person to lead lively discussion on paintings brought along by our members for specific ideas on improvement or enhancement. We discussed the tones, shades and composition. We looked at watercolour landscapes, seascapes in oil and in acrylics, pencil and ink drawings and urban scenes.
Our members appreciated Maxine’s light-hearted, fun approach while learning a lot of useful tips.
At our next meeting on Tuesday 25 April, professional artist, Tim Fisher, will demonstrate line and wash painting. Visitors welcome.
