GEMS Charity – June 2023
Sadly, Smeeton Open Gardens will not go ahead this year as we haven’t had enough gardens to show. A big ‘thank you’ goes to the gardeners who had volunteered. Perhaps Smeeton is wanting a rest from this so we will try again next year.
We are planning, with the support of Andy and Edd from the King’s Head to hopefully put on another fund raising event to replace this, possibly during August. Please keep an eye out for posters either in the pub or around the village.
Our next fundraising event will be our Golf Day at Glen Gorse Golf Club, Oadby, on Friday 18 August. Teams of four pay £180 for the day. This includes bacon rolls and meals afterwards with team and individual prizes. This is always a popular day with you golfers.
