Next month’s issue of the Kibworth & District Chronicle will be assembled (we call it lay up) on Sunday 12 November, Remembrance Sunday. One of our 200 plus strong team will be joining the Kibworth Band along with the Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Scouting and Guiding groups of all ages in the procession to St Wilfrid’s church – as has happened each year for the last 15 years – where they will lay a wreath on behalf of everyone who reads this publication, and say a prayer of thanks.
When there are wars, famine, weather events, and disease etc around the world we have much to be thankful for living in comfortable rural south Leicestershire.
The remaining members of the team will observe the usual two minutes silence.
