Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill Update
Local volunteers met with representatives from the mill owners (The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings), Historic England and two experienced millers to work through the snagging list, following completion of the extensive repairs completed last year.
With the benefit of the vast knowledge of the millers we were delighted to be able to get the wonderful sails turning under wind power for the first time in many years, which was a sight to behold!
We are still seeking additional volunteers to assist with the ongoing maintenance of the mill. They are also needed to help with further open days planned for 2024. If you are interested in finding out more about what that would involve please contact Graham Watts on 07394 117072.
