Have yourself a very stylish Christmas!
After an enjoyable (if a little soggy) Hallowe’en and Bonfire night, we prepare to say goodbye to the warm Autumnal tones of September and October and start looking towards the glitter and glamour of Christmas.
We have been busy at the shop, getting our Christmas stock out and, of course, creating our Christmas window.
Cushions and furnishings
The boucle pumpkin cushions, and ochre soft furnishings give way to plush velvets, merry flair and brighter colours – a welcome contrast to the greyish tones that we’re faced with outside.
For this year’s Christmas trends we are seeing a lot of gorgeous gold and enchanting jewel tones, especially teal and burgundy.
It’s a great time to update your home using a few wisely chosen pieces and inject a bit of colour.
Colours and patterns
Updating your soft furnishings, adding a new colour, pattern or texture, can make a huge difference and have your home feeling cosy and homely, ready for the cooler temperatures. This is the time when our homes come alive with the scent of Mulled Wine and Christmas Spice and the cosy throws and bed socks come out.
If you’re expecting guests this year, inject some festive fragrance with our selection of scented jar candles, diffusers and pillar candles. Another popular trend this season is to layer your fragrances. Don’t feel restricted by keeping to one scent per room. Be brave and mix it up! You’ve only got to visit our candle corner at the shop to realise how heavenly a combination of scents can be.
Spruce up your home!
If you’d like to have a chat about any sprucing up your home ready for December, do pop in! There’s nothing I love more than speaking about styling and now is a great time to start thinking about updating your home. Our Interior Styling packages start at just £95 per room.
We can’t wait for December and, on Wednesday 6 December, we will be welcoming visitors to the shop with a glass of wine and some cheese for Kibworth’s Annual Late Night Shopping Event.
We’ll be open from 9am until 9pm and we’ll have lots of in-store, and online, specials. Just in time for your Christmas shopping.
