Nightmare A6

Dear Sir

It’s pretty obvious that we will not get a Kibworth bypass. As a small boy I remember my mother and father talking about it in 1965. Here we are 58 years on. My thoughts are:

  1. Put a traffic island or part time lights at the New Road/A6 junction. I have been told that too many utility services are under the junction. But bolt one on top. (The council can bolt speed humps on top).
  2. Carry out repairs at night between 8pm – 6am. After all it is 2023 and we have brilliant lighting towers.

I really feel it’s about time this was addressed. I think my headstone will read:

Here lies David Crouch, sat at New Road junction for 5 years 3 months of his life!
