Fleckney Village Cricket Club – Feb ’24
Thinking of trying something new in 2024? Ever tried playing cricket? If the answer is “Yes” to either or both of those questions, then Fleckney Village Cricket Club could be the place for you. Get in touch via Fvcc1975@gmail.com to find out more, or via our X and facebook. We have a cricketing offer for any gender from the age of 5 upwards.
All Stars (5- to 7-year-olds) and Dynamoes (8- to 11-year-olds): An ECB led initiative which we anticipate will run from May to June 2024. Further details will be announced closer to the time.
Juniors: Meeting every Friday at Leicester Grammar school (6-7pm), the sessions cost £2.50. We have players training in Kwik cricket for beginners (from 6-10 years old). We also have Increadiball for primary school children and Hardball for under 13s. New players are very welcome and no equipment is required. We have fully checked and qualified coaches on hand every week.
Sunday Hardball: We are planning on having two sides in 2024. A development side that will promote the capable juniors and give them a first experience of senior hardball cricket; and a Sunday side which will be the normal mix of anyone who wants to play the game. Training is at Leicester Grammar School from 7-8pm on Fridays and costs £5.
Midweek Hardball: A mix of friendlies and midweek league action.
Saturday Hardball: Our 1st XI are in the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket League Division 7 and our 2nd XI play in Division 9. These are regional and we are waiting for confirmation as to which region we will be in, most likely East.
