Fleckney and Kibworth Running Club January 24
It’s been a quiet start to the year for Fleckney and Kibworth Running Club. Members have been attending club nights through the cold and wet weather every Tuesday and Thursday.
Couch to 5k has once again proved popular with around 30 runners taking part each week.
We held a fantastic club event on 28 January, the Kibworth Round. The cross-country course covered surrounding villages of Gumley, Arnesby, East Langton and Saddington to name a few and members took it in turns to cover parts of the 48 mile route. Although it was muddy, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Bernadette Owen recently took part in the tough, 14-mile Charnwood Hills race on Sunday 4 February. Covering areas around Bradgate Park and Beacon Hill. Bernadette completed the course in 2 hours 42 minutes and achieved 1st place in her age category.
As we head into spring, we have plenty of events in the pipeline including the ‘Kibworth 6’ in March and our annual awards night.
