Kibworth Bowls Club – April 2024. Kibworth Bowling Club’s indoor carpet bowls season has now ended following some really enjoyable competitions. The Pairs League for the Hollingsworth Cup was won by Chas Clarke and Sharon Sanderson, after some exciting matches with close scores.
On 6th April, 24 members battled it out in a singles competition for the Rose Garden Trophy, which was a full-day event. Doug Lander (pictured) beat Chas Clarke by 2 points in a nail-biting final.
Our outdoor bowls will be starting in April, as soon as the weather improves! The club has two Open Afternoons and one Open Evening planned. Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday 19 May from 1-4pm and Wednesday 19 June from 6-7.30pm. On Tuesday 2 July 2-4pm we will be holding an Open Afternoon for ladies only.
Please come and visit us for a chat to find out more about the game and the club, or to have a go. All you need to bring with you is a flat pair of shoes. So what better way to get some gentle exercise and make new friends? Why not try it?
If you can’t wait until 19 May to get started, then come to our informal ‘roll-up’ sessions on Monday evenings from 6pm. All the necessary equipment is provided.
