Kibworth Mead Academy
Ofsted Report – Rated Good
We are delighted finally to share with you the results of our February Ofsted inspection. The report, published last week, confirms that Kibworth Mead Academy is rated Ofsted ‘good’ in all four categories. Quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.
The report states:
“This is a good school. There are positive relationships between staff and pupils. Staff care about their pupils’ education and well-being. Pupils benefit from effective safeguarding arrangements.”
“Leaders have a clear and ambitious vision for the school and are determined that pupils will succeed here. They promote the school’s values of ‘work hard, be kind, be proud.”
We are thrilled that Ofsted inspectors recognised the significant improvements since the last inspection and the positive impact on the culture and students. We agree that it really is a different school than the one they visited 18 months ago.
The report noted that parents were positive about the school. ‘Parents and carers are positive about the education their children receive.’ One view shared by many was:
“I cannot praise the staff more highly. They are communicative, supportive and have made my child’s experience of school a brilliant one. They have inspired my child to be the best he can be.”
Kibworth is a wonderful, vibrant community and it deserves this outcome. The positive comments are a reflection of the hard work by students and staff. As well as all the support and commitment from parents, carers, families and the wider community. Thank you to everyone who have supported and believed in us along the way.
Although we are delighted with the report, our main priority is that we maintain our commitment to providing the highest quality of education, care and opportunity for every child at Kibworth Mead Academy. As such we are going to continue to focus on improvement, continue to focus on our values of working hard, being kind and being proud and continue to have the highest expectations and ambition for every child at Kibworth Mead Academy.
