Kibworth Bowls Club – May 2024
Kibworth Bowls Club had a superb Winter/Spring season on the full indoor rinks at Harborough Leisure Centre. The club was represented by six teams between the Monday and Tuesday evening triples leagues, where outdoor clubs compete against each other over 22 weekly matches.
On the Monday league of twelve teams, we finished the year with all three teams in the top seven places, including first place for Malcolm Moss and Susan and Robert Hurley. Malcolm (see photo) had a magnificent year, securing no less than four trophies overall, including two knockout competitions alongside Richard Bateman.
It has been a slow start to the outdoor season because of the inclement weather! We managed to hold our first home fixture on Saturday 27 April, when we were pleased to have a convincing win against Countesthorpe.
Put on your trainers/flat shoes and come and have a go! Enjoy a chat with some of our members over a cuppa or a drink from our licensed bar. Full membership is discounted for new members in their first year and costs just £60. Associate and social memberships are also available.
