Springing into Tennis
We have got through the winter months without too many frozen courts and no snow! There has been plenty of rain and luckily it didn’t cause us too many problems as the courts drain very well.
Let’s hope the weather is kind to us over the next few months. The photo shows the children getting ready to ‘spring’ into action in their tennis session.
New Tennis courses for children aged 3 and over and adults.
We play tennis all year round at the club, and it would great to see more children and adults taking up this great sport.
So we will be running the following new courses starting at the beginning of May:-
- A nine week course for beginners or those who want to make a comeback :
Boys in school yrs 7, 8 & 9 – starting on Tuesday 7 May, 3.15 – 4.15pm,
Girls in school yrs 7, 8 & 9 – starting on Thursday 9 May, 3.15 – 4.15pm,
Ladies – starting on Tuesday 7 May, 9.30 – 10.45am.
The children’s courses are part of an LTA initiative to get more playing tennis and when they are booked on to one of the courses above they will receive a free tennis racket.
